A lifelong Lauderdale County resident, Bonnie serves as a volunteer with ECM Hospital. She graduated from Lexington High School and was voted "Most Likely to Succeed" her senior year. Bonnie was a bookkeeper at the Lauderdale County Co-Operative in Florence from 1954 until she retired in 1999. She then worked at the Co-Op's Elgin branch until 2002. She and her late husband have two daughters, Vicky and Tracy, three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
